Important
Our frames are stained in a medium oak waterbased stain. Please note that as our frames are made with pine, a natural material, there may be variations and imperfections such as small knots etc. These are to be expected and we feel it just adds to the charm! Variations and imperfections such as this are not considered a defect and we don't accept returns based on naturally occuring variations in the wood.
Care Information
Our Wood Framed Signs, unless otherwise stated, are not suitable for outdoor use. Our Wood stains are waterbased, the pine of the frame is a soft wood and the base board of the sign is MDF. These will suffer irreparable damage if left outdoors or exposed to the elements.
To Clean - Just dust the sign face with a lint free dry cloth. Please be careful not to scratch the surface of the sign.
Fixing/Hanging Signs
Fixing/Hanging
We no longer provide fixings for our signs. Some wood frame sign makers will attached saw tooth hangers to the back of the frame, however we know from experience that this will prevent the sign from sitting flush against the wall as they are designed to sit.
The is a gap at the back of the frame is deep enough for the sign to be simply hung over some nails/screws. This is how we hang them at home!
Please note that when hanging larger signs, you should hang over TWO nails/screws that should be sited towards the outer edges of the sign's frame. This will prevent any bowing in the centre of the frame from the weight of the sign hanging on a single nail.
Free Standing
We use frame wood that is 1.5" - 2" deep, therefore our signs are perfectly suited to free stand on a shelf.
Product Sizes
When listing our framed sign sizes on our website, the size shown is the board size minus the frame. For example, we say 7" x 7". The final product size shall be larger than this once the frame has been added. So the size you receive is going to be approx 8.5" x 8.5"
All Sizes are approximate and may vary by 1-2cm. Sizes available for each product will be shown in the drop down menus.
Colours
Whilst we strive to photograph our products in the best light, please be aware that the colour of the product you receive may appear slighly different in tone/shade. Many thinks can influence the colour of a product you see on your screen from screen resolution and brightness to lighting at the time of photography.
